SHE was built from a straightforward conviction: that the people buying retail equipment know exactly what problems they're trying to solve, and they need a supplier who understands those problems as well as they do.
Over 27 years we've supplied trolleys, baskets and handling equipment to the UK's biggest grocery, DIY and fashion retailers. We operate from a 470,000 sq ft site in Teesside, one of the largest stockholding operations in the sector, which means we can move fast when our clients need us to.
In 2022 we launched DigitalSHE, combining our hardware expertise with smart fleet technology.
The same team, the same relationships, the same understanding of how retail actually works, now with the data layer that modern operations need on top of it.

1990s
SHE is founded
Established as a specialist in trolleys, baskets and handling equipment, building long-term partnerships with major UK retailers from day one.
2000–2012
Growth & expansion
Move to a new 9-acre operational site. Engineering capabilities expand, product range deepens, and SHE earns a reputation for strong stock availability and fast nationwide delivery.
2014
Engineering innovation
Improved trolley nesting designs reduce transport volume by up to 25%. Full range of plastic trolley accessories developed in-house.
2015-2020
European growth & Covid response
Sales expand across Europe with the UK's leading supermarket. During Covid-19, SHE plays a major role supplying online-shopping trolleys to major grocery retailers. Own-design coin lock launched. Universal scanner handle developed.
2020
Digital foundations begin
Early research into digital product identification and asset tracking begins with technology partners. SHE becomes designer and supplier for Morrisons' new roll cage.
2022
ScanNRoll platform launches
ScanNRoll Pro (B2B) launches with tier-based asset IDs. The platform supports inspections, stocktaking, documentation, media uploads and ownership control from day one.
2023
Digital integration with equipment
ScanNRoll adopted for equipment-level tracking. QR codes added to all SHE trolleys, connecting every physical product directly to a digital record.
2026
